PROGRAM NOTE

A three movement work scored for 3 trumpets, 4 horns, 3 trombones, euphonium and tuba.  The titles refers to the biblical descriptions of Angels for example in the book of Isaiah of fiery six-winged beings that fly around the Throne of God crying "holy, holy, holy".  The “Kadosh, Kadosh, Kadosh” motive from the Jewish Liturgy is quoted in the low brass.  The piece was written for the inauguration of Schroeder Hall at the Green Music Center in Sonoma County California.
