Copeland Creek Brass

 
 

Founder and director Dr. Brian S. Wilson (trombone) is Music Department Chair at SSU.  A man of many hats, Brian is a prolific composer who teaches music theory and composition and conducts his music worldwide.

Sonoma State alumnus David Fichera (trumpet) is the Communications coordinator for Petaluma City Schools.

Robert Jackson (trumpet) has been a player in Bay Area for many years after having served as principal trumpet with the Cape Town Symphony in South Africa. 

Kelley Hunt, (trumpet) has been a player in Bay Area for many years.  A graduate of CSU Hayward and an active studio trumpet teacher.

Ruth Wilson (French horn) teaches horn, brass methods and chamber music at SSU and maintains a private studio teaching horn to people of all ages.  She is a frequent player with Ukiah Symphony, Sonoma County Philharmonic and other Bay Area groups.

A passionate solo artist on tuba, Michael Murrin also composes and plerforms on trombone and euphonium. He received his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Southern California.


 

 

 

The Ensemble

Members of Copeland Creek Brass are actively engaged in sharing their love of  music in the classrooms of Sonoma State University and Sonoma County public schools.
