Commissioned by Eric Cabalo and first performed in Weill Hall at the Green Music Center.  The title refers to the book of the same by Armenian American author and poet David Kherdian’s book about his mother’s escape from the Armenian genocide and her immigration to Racine, Wisconsin as a mail order bride.
